Star Factor Coach
Sharon holds a M.S in early childhood from Bank Street College of Education, as well as a certificate in coaching from New York University. For more than 40 years in the field of early childhood development and education, Sharon has served as a teacher N-6 in NYC Public Schools, a parent cooperative preschool director, parent educator, adjunct assistant professor, and instructional coach. She continues to conduct RULER Anchor Tool, Feeling Words Curriculum and Parent trainings, as well as individualized coaching sessions for teachers and school leaders.
Drawing on her love of children’s literature, she helped develop the Feeling Words Curriculum for PreK through second grade classrooms. Most recently she has expanded her work with Star Factor Coaching, providing Leadership Coaching in Emotional Intelligence to school leaders. Her interests include yoga, pilates, gardening, attending theater and modern dance, being in nature, sailing, and spending time with friends, children and four grandchildren.

After many attempts over a series of years, Sharon has recently been successful in her attempts to sustain a meditation practice.
What I love about coaching: She loves supporting school leaders in being the most effective at influencing positive outcomes for their school communities and in gaining new insights into how their emotional intelligence skills impact the enjoyment of their personal lives.
