Series Four: Become A STAR Factor Coach

This program is designed for individuals committed to a year-long training to become a certified STAR Factor coach. It requires a group of at least five participants and includes:

Certification in the STAR Factor Coaching Model

Certification implies you have demonstrated competence in the knowledge and skills of a STAR Factor coach. If you do not meet certification standards on the first round, there will be another opportunity to present before the panel at a future date. You are expected to coach an additional person to demonstrate competency in all noted areas. All coaches, whether certified or not, should continue with their supervision processes to strengthen their practice.

Certification Implies:

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and dispositions in the STAR Factor Coaching Model
  • Preparedness and readiness to coach clients
  • Willingness to attend continued supervision hours (minimally 10 hours annually)
  • Compliance with the coaching agreement made between the organization and STAR Factor
  • Attendance at all SF community meetings held every 6-9 weeks
