Dr. Vincent Butera is Superintendent of the Hunter-Tannersville Central School District and a leadership consultant whose work centers on the inner work of leadership—helping leaders cultivate emotional intelligence, resilience, presence, and the reflective habits that sustain high-functioning organizations. A certified leadership coach and consultant, Dr. Butera designs coaching and learning experiences that deepen self-awareness and transform the quality of conversations that shape adult culture and professional community.
With more than a decade as a superintendent, Dr. Butera has led systems-level improvements that contributed to multiple National Blue Ribbon School recognitions. He is also recognized statewide for his leadership in adult and organizational wellness, having chaired regional collaboratives and facilitated statewide professional learning focused on strengthening the emotional and relational capacity of educators. He has served on the faculty of graduate programs in educational leadership, with an emphasis on reflective practice and systems thinking. His current scholarship explores resilience, emotional intelligence, mentoring, and the intentional conversational leadership practices that enable leaders to navigate complex environments with curiosity, compassion, and courage.
