As founding principal of two New York City public schools over a twenty-year period, Mark joined the Star Factor team and also became the Executive Director of a non-profit organization with an anti-bullying mission. Operation Respect soon offered bullying prevention, social and emotion learning, community building tools with music and the arts to schools and districts worldwide. Mark continues to work with Star Factor Coaching as the granular way that he can contribute to our field and learn at the same time. As coaching has become essential for supervisor and leadership professional development and as demand increases, Mark offers his skills and life experience to the coaching of new coaches.

Mark and his wife Jane live in Putnam Valley, New York. The three grown daughters—a kindergarten teacher and two psychotherapist— and four grandchildren.
