Alexandra Hernandez has been an educator for the last 21 years. She has been a High School Principal since 2011. As a successful principal she has gained unparalleled experience with multilingual learners and mixed status immigrant youth. Driven by a mission to lead with kindness, high expectations, and empathy has proven successful as evidenced by NYC high school metrics. As principal of a Spanish bilingual High School, Ms. Hernandez focused on strengthening the Latino voice and ensuring that all people in her school felt a sense of belonging. She advocates for educator wellness, kindness, and advocating for all young people. Today, as part of the Supervisory Support Program she supports principals and administrators in service to NYC students.
